Rangers boss Michael Beale believes his side will come back stronger next season as he moves forward with optimism. The 42-year-old former Ibrox coach took over as manager in December with the pledge to raise playing quality and rekindle fan excitement. He only dropped two points in the Premier League, but Rangers also lost to their Old Firm opponents in the League Cup final and Scottish Cup semifinals, therefore he was unable to catch winners Celtic. In order to replace individuals who can “grow for the next two or three seasons,” Beale brought in players like Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor, and Scott Arfield at the conclusion of the season. With the signings of Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, and Jack Butland, the management wasted no time in the summer window.
“Because we performed well and won a lot of games, the team wasn’t as damaged. With regard to our consistency at home and away, we’ve been able to turn a corner. We often score goals, especially while we are away from home. I’ve been thrilled with some of our huge away performances,” Rangers boss Michael Beale said. “However, given how our league is structured, how intense it is, and how second is definitely last in this nation. We must make some adjustments if we don’t want to come in second place. Sometimes the world of football may be brutal, but at Rangers, it is what is expected, therefore you have to switch players in search of other players who can step in and make a significant difference. This summer, we’re searching for it.”
“Our approach is quite obvious from the off, and we are very energetic on the pitch in terms of pressing and the bits when we don’t have possession. Make sure we’re really difficult to beat, then let our excellence shine. In order to build on this spine, we’ll want to hire players who will be able to commit to the Rangers for the next three to five years,” he added. “With the arrival of Todd Cantwell, Kieran Dowell, and Nico Raskin, you’ve already witnessed the beginning of that. With a little bit of experience, but definitely in terms of quality in the last third, we’ll try to improve on that.”
