England captain Harry Kane launched the Harry Kane Foundation on World Mental Health Day as he looks to tackle the stigma of mental health. The beginning of Kane’s journey to learn more about mental health and work with selected organizations and strategic partners is the establishment of his own dedicated Foundation. With the use of strategic awareness campaigns and hands-on assistance, HKF will harness the profile of the Tottenham striker and the partnerships it has cultivated to reach audiences of all ages. The HKF’s objectives are to combat stigma, normalize conversations about mental health, and promote healthy behaviors.
“On this World Mental Health Day, I’m thrilled to announce the opening of my foundation. My journey to learn more about mental health has begun, and I intend to utilize my position to inspire others to take care of their mental health, do their best, and not be afraid to ask for help,” England captain Harry Kane said after the launch of his Foundation. “Despite the fact that I am by no means an authority on the subject, I have discovered that an increasing number of people need to develop resilience and learn positive coping mechanisms in order to deal with adversity. I’m thrilled to be contributing to some incredible causes and organizations that are dear to my heart. Working on all the activations we are launching has been a lot of fun for me, and I can’t wait to share some of the upcoming projects.”
The animation, Harry Kane: Resilience, shows the player’s progression from park football to England captain, underlining the difficulties he overcame and his will to never give up. Along with being featured on Kane’s website and being shared with his more than 30 million social media followers, the animation will be made available on a variety of platforms and screened in everyman cinemas across the country.
