Burnley head coach Vincent Kompany picked up the Championship Manager of the month award for the month of October. If Kompany’s flowing team continued to give up late equalizers in October, they earned two comeback victories, two injury-time victories, and a total of 18 points from eight unbeaten games to move to the top of the Championship.
“Being up against some great managers, I’m thrilled to have won this award,” Burnley head coach Vincent Kompany said after winning Championship manager of the month. “I want to thank all the players and my staff, including the trainers, physiotherapists, sports scientists, analysts, kit handlers, groundskeepers, chefs, and everyone else who helped us win this honor. We had a successful month, but the work is far from over.”
Jerry Yates of Blackpool has been named the October Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month. Yates’ deft positioning contributed significantly to an October to remember. His seven goals and one assist in seven games included three doubles and included four headers, two volleys, and a jinking solo run against Watford.
Aaron Collins of Bristol Rovers has been selected as the October Sky Bet League One Player of the Month. The versatile striker is having a fantastic year. His official tally was three goals and three assists, but in addition to his driven finishes and excellent crosses, he also made numerous runs off the ball and a goal-scoring dummy for Sheffield Wednesday.
Steven Schumacher, the manager of Plymouth Argyle, has been named the October Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month. The harmony between Schumacher and his Argyle team is peaceful. He has a motivated team that consistently produces results, as evidenced by the 19 points and 18 goals from seven unbeaten games.
Paddy Madden of Stockport County has been selected as the October Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month. Madden provides Stockport with more than just goals thanks to his relentless pursuit of opponents and high work rate; his skill as a poacher is precious. In each of County’s six games, he produced a goal (five in all) or an assist.
