Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has laughed off links to Jude Bellingham but admitted the club is prepared to dip into the transfer market. To revitalize their stale midfield, Liverpool has been widely connected with coveted Borussia Dortmund player Jude Bellingham.
“Early January? I shouldn’t be the one to respond to that. In our circumstance, January is a window where we can always prepare from a sporting perspective; it is always obvious what ideas we have or how necessary it is from our perspective,” Jurgen Klopp said about links to Jude Bellingham. “The rest isn’t entirely in our control, but we always make do with what we have and that won’t change. You might undoubtedly guess that we are in a circumstance where we are looking. We’ll see if something happens.”
The Merseyside club’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, are reportedly open to investment, but the former Reds defender worries they lack the resources to recruit the players Klopp seeks. Carragher believes this is an indication that they are moving to satisfy Klopp’s expectations.
“I’m not sure how much money you specifically need, but I’m not against investing. We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds, but I still have faith that everything will be for the better because our future is promising,” he added. “But right now, we need to resolve the issue. Nothing to do with any potential investments or investors in the future; our focus is on organizing the present.”
