Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou is considering Fulham center-back Tosin Adarabioyo amongst other defensive reinforcements. The club is thought to have been debating whether or not to make its interest in the Fulham defender official, despite the fact that it is just in the early stages of the process. Spurs have been keeping an eye on his contract status as well as his past season’s performances for the Cottagers under Marco Silva. Fulham extended the 25-year-old’s contract, which was set to expire this summer, until 2024 earlier this year. Earlier in the season, talks were also undertaken with Fulham about a new, long-term contract because Silva wanted to keep him, but they did not go any further.
This summer is Fulham’s last real chance to get a respectable price for the defender since Tottenham target Tosin Adarabioyo is eager to start a new chapter in his career. He will have access to overseas teams in January to discuss a pre-contract agreement for the summer of 2024. While Clement Lenglet has returned to Barcelona after his loan period, Tottenham is aiming to make changes at center-back in the current window and will pay attention to bids for Davinson Sanchez in particular.
Adarabioyo, a former junior international for England, matches the center-half type preferred by new manager Ange Postecoglu, who is searching for players with local credentials. Along with a number of other teams, Spurs continue to have interest in Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace that dates back to last summer. His contract with Selhurst Park has three more years to run.
Giovani Lo Celso of Tottenham has been added to Barcelona’s list of summer targets. The playmaker is one of the midfield players whom Barca manager Xavi has listed as a target in the market because of his enormous admiration for him. If Spurs start talking about bringing Lenglet back to Hotspur Way, the Spanish club is willing to discuss Lo Celso with them. Lenglet, who was on loan from Barcelona for the whole season, is still on Spurs’ list of objectives. Ilkay Gundogan of Manchester City is still a target for Barcelona, who are interested in acquiring him on a free transfer on July 1.
