Leandro Trossard revealed that he would join former manager Graham Potter at Chelsea if given the chance. Trossard was Potter’s second signing after he took over at Brighton, paying £18m for the Belgian from Genk. He has become a regular starter and has made his debut for Belgium before earning 21 caps for the country. His former manager Graham Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.
“Even though our coach did leave for Chelsea, it is absurd to think that I would have followed him. I’d want to go if the chance presents itself. But I want to participate rather than watch,” Leandro Trossard said about the possibility of joining Chelsea. “I feel fantastic. With Brighton, we are off to a fantastic start. I’ve come a long way. I finally understand how the Premier League operates. It helped me grow a lot. I’ve improved in confidence, mental acuity, and physical fitness. I’ve got the tricks down now.”
Meanwhile, Michy Batshuayi has accused former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte of going back on his word. The Belgian joined Chelsea in 2016 but spent most of his time on the bench. In 2016/17, he made 20 appearances for the club including one start.
“Conte frequently argued against himself. I will begin with my arrival. He explained his project to me over the phone. He wanted me to join Diego Costa in a two-man frontline,” he added. “Did I really think that? Of course, given that Conte has played his entire career with two attackers. except when I’m in Chelsea. I don’t comprehend. In actuality, I’ve been duped way too frequently.”
