Leeds Manager Jesse Marsch believes that the pressure is on ahead of their clash against Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday. Following last weekend’s 3-2 home loss to Fulham, Marsch’s team entered the bottom three for the first time this season, only ahead of Wolves and Nottingham Forest on goal differential. Improvement was anticipated in Marsch’s first season in the position after the team avoided relegation on the final day of the previous campaign. However, an eight-game losing streak has cast a pall over Elland Road.
“I’m not a moron. However, I am fully aware that if we lose games, I put them in a tough position to continue to support me,” Leeds manager Jesse Marsch said before their clash against Liverpool. “I’ve never suffered this many losses in my career, and I’m sick of it, so I’m trying to determine which men I can rely on and which ones are willing to put everything on the line. Given the potential negativity they may have been feeling, Elland Road was not unduly nasty in my opinion because the support base genuinely loves the team. Of course, some people want me gone, while others simply want us to turn a corner since they can see that we are getting there.”
From the last 24 available points in the Premier League, Leeds has only collected two. Marsch said that “we will see how the next 48 hours go with them” in reference to Rodrigo, Luis Sinisterra, Liam Cooper, and Tyler Adams’ reservations about Leeds’ journey to Liverpool.
