Marcelo Bielsa and Sean Dyche are frontrunners for the vacant managerial job at Everton. According to reports, Marcelo Bielsa flew in from Brazil to Everton. He is anticipated to speak with Everton about the management role in London. The two front-runners to take over as the club’s new manager are Bielsa and Sean Dyche. Both have made an impression on the Everton hierarchy in recent days. On Thursday, further discussions are anticipated, and the club is still confident that an appointment will be set up before this weekend. After leading the team at Goodison Park for over a year, the Toffees fired Frank Lampard on Monday. Farhad Moshiri, the owner of Everton, prefers Bielsa, but the agreement is challenging to complete due to the cost of hiring the Argentine manager.
Everton may spend up to £1 million a month on Bielsa and his backroom team, which would pay for all of the coach’s assistants. The former Leeds coach’s unique approach to negotiations sees him ask for a sizeable sum that he then distributes among his coaching staff, who are included in the package without being subject to negotiation. Dyche, however, has been without a job since Burnley fired him in April of last year. The Leeds Whites, who appointed Jesse Marsch in Bielsa’s place two months previously, edged Burnley to Premier League safety on the penultimate day of the previous campaign.
“It goes without saying that Marcelo Bielsa is Everton’s top choice to take Frank Lampard’s place. They have been attempting to reach a settlement over the past 48 hours, but there are many obstacles to overcome,” Sami Mokbel said. “I believe Bielsa considered his team’s ability to adapt to his brand of play when he had a look at it. He is known for his intense, high-octane, and high-energy style. He may have considered that the Everton team would find it difficult to adjust and that he would find it difficult to apply his coaching philosophy there.”
