Leicester has completed the signing of Ademola Lookman from RB Leipzig with an option to buy. The winger had spent the season on loan at Fulham in the Premier League last season. He managed to score just four goals as they were relegated to the Championship. The Charlton Athletic winger had spent two and a half years at Goodison Park before moving on a permanent basis to RB Leipzig in 2019. His stint in Germany was disappointing, making just 13 appearances for the Bundesliga pwerehouse.
“I’m delighted to be here. It’s a great honor to be at such a big and amazing club with such a huge history and a quality group of players.” Ademola Lookman said after joining Leicester on loan. “The facilities are incredible. It’s pretty mind-blowing and I just can’t wait to get to work here. I think the environment is very important for a player, so this is the right environment for me to work hard every single day and to help my craft be even better.”
Meanwhile, Burnley completed the signing of Connor Roberts from Swansea on a four-year deal. It is the club’s fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Nathan Collins, Wayne Hennessey, Aaron Lennon, and Maxwell Cornet.
“On behalf of everyone at Burnley Football Club, we are delighted to welcome Connor to Turf Moor.” Burnley chairman Alan Pace said. “It’s great to add another player with strong international experience to our squad and provide an opportunity for Connor to play Premier League football again having provided outstanding service to Swansea and impressed on the international stage with Wales.”
