GK: Yann Sommer – 4/10 – A few good stops were made, but a few of the goals could not be stopped.
RB: Edimilson Fernandes – 4/10 – A better player for Switzerland moving forward, he did his best to wear Felix down.
CB: Manuel Akanji – 3/10 – In the spotlight, shrank and received the runaround. Fortunately, I did manage to score.
CB: Fabian Schar – 2/10 – Schar was sent all the way back to club duties with Newcastle if Akanji gets the runaround. On the ground and in the air, weak. at the break, hooked.
LB: Ricardo Rodriguez – 4/10 – Made some crucial interceptions, but it was clear that Rodriguez’s age was catching up to him.
CM: Remo Freuler – 3/10 – If he had converted his gilt-edged chance when the score was only 2-0, Switzerland might have had a chance. swiftly replaced in the second half.
CM: Granit Xhaka – 4/10 – Attempted to keep the midfield together but was unsuccessful.
RM: Djibril Sow – 2/10 – He brought little to the game and is very obviously not a winger.
AM: Xherdan Shaqiri – 3/10 – Was given a role that suited his physical immobility and at least presented a danger in set pieces.
LM: Ruben Vargas – 2/10 – Vargas squandered yet another opportunity to assist his squad in its goal-scoring efforts.
CF: Breel Embolo – 6/10 – By far the best outfielder from Switzerland. tried to involve his country in the match, but his efforts were limited.
