10. Paul Scholes (155 goals)
Paul Scholes played for Manchester United for the whole of his playing career. Scholes, a member of the “Class of 92,” is regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation. With the Red Devils, he enjoyed a highly fruitful career, winning two Champions Leagues and 11 Premier League championships. During the years when Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad won several trophies, he was a crucial member of the group. Paul Scholes played for Manchester United in more than 700 games over the course of a 20-year career, scoring 155 goals, helping him edge into the list of the Top 10 Manchester United goalscorers of all time.
9. Mark Hughes (163 goals)

7. Joe Spence (168 goals)
When it comes to goals scored and appearances made for Manchester United, Joe Spence formerly held the record. Spence joined United in 1919 and played for them for 14 years. Throughout his time with the Red Devils, he was one of United’s key players. Despite his bravery on the wings, Manchester United’s attacker failed to take home any significant trophies and was demoted twice. Spence played 510 times for United, scoring 168 goals in that time.
6. George Best (179 goals)
One of the greatest footballers of all time is George Best. In the FIFA Player of the Century voting, the Irishman finished sixth. Best joined Manchester United in 1963 and spent 11 years there before making his senior debut. Dennis Violet scored goals often when he played for Manchester United. Viollet began in the lower levels until breaking through in 1953. He was a Busby Babe and a survivor of the Munich air tragedy. Viollet participated in 36 games and scored 32 goals the next season. Up until 1962, Viollet was a member of the Red Devils. At that time, he joined Stoke City. The forward scored 179 goals in 293 appearances for Manchester United.
4. Jack Rowley (211 Goals)
Jack Rowley spent 17 years working for Manchester United. Rowley moved to Manchester United in 1937 from Bournemouth. He later won the 1951–52 Football League and FA Cup with the Red Devils. “The Gunner” played 424 times for Manchester United and scored 211 goals.
3. Denis Law (237 goals)
In 1962, Denis Law broke the British transfer record by moving from Torino to Manchester United. Law, one of the “United Trinity,” played a key role in Manchester’s golden age in the 1960s. He had a part in the Red Devils’ First Division League titles in 1965 and 1967. The striker created history in 1964 when he became the first Scottish player to win the prized Ballon d’Or. The Scottish player played with the group for 11 years, making 404 appearances and scoring 237 goals.
2. Sir Bobby Charlton (249 goals)
Sir Bobby Charlton held the record for most goals ever scored in United history for more than 50 years. Before making his official debut in 1956, Charlton progressed through the ranks at Manchester United. After surviving the Munich Air catastrophe, the forward took charge of the team. Charlton won the FA Cup and two League titles while playing for United. World Cup winner Charlton assisted Manchester United in defeating Benfica in the 1968 European Championship final. In the contest, Charlton scored twice. Over the course of his more than 15-year career, Charlton played 758 times for United, scoring 249 goals and taking home the Ballon d’Or in 1966.
1. Wayne Rooney (253 goals)
Wayne Rooney was already one of the league’s top players at the age of 18 when he transferred from Everton to Manchester United. His performance lived up to the high expectations placed on him when he joined Manchester United, scoring a hat-trick in the Champions League on his first outing. Rooney has now gone on to win 11 major championships with the Red Devils, including five league championships and one Champions League. In 2017, the former United captain broke Sir Bobby Charlton’s record for most goals scored for the team. Wazza, as he was often referred to, played 559 times for Manchester United and netted 253 goals, topping the list of the Top 10 Manchester United Goalscorers Of All Time.
