Mumbai City FC has completed the signing of Alberto Noguera on a one-year deal. Noguera has been one of the best midfielders in the last two seasons of the Hero Indian Super League. He was part of the squad that won the 2021 Durand Cup and has four goals and 11 assists in the ISL. He came through the ranks at Getafe before joining the Atletico Madrid C team.
“I feel a sense of pride to be joining Mumbai City. There is ambition and hunger to win at this club and the philosophy here is to play attacking and beautiful football,” Alberto Noguera said after completing his move to Mumbai City FC. “I have seen it from the outside in my two years in the ISL and now I’m ready to help bring success to the club.”
“Alberto is an excellent addition to our team and has shown consistently over recent seasons his ability to influence games in a way that will suit our style,” Mumbai City FC head coach Des Buckingham said. “He is a very experienced player who will also provide additional leadership to the group while allowing us to develop and adapt the way we want to play. I am delighted to have Alberto with us and I look forward to working with him.”
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur FC has announced the appointment of Stuart Watkiss as assistant coach to manager Aidy Boothroyd.
“I look forward to working with Aidy and the rest of the staff. And I also look forward to soaking in the unique atmosphere at the furnace,” Watkiss said.
