Amid ongoing relations with La Liga champions Real Madrid, Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga admitted “it is nice when a big club is interested”. Camavinga has been tipped to make the move from Ligue 1 outfit Rennes to Madrid, who have long admired the phenomenon of France.
Also linked to the 18-year-old midfielder were Ligue 1 holders Paris Saint-Germain, Serie A champions Juventus, and Manchester United.
“Of course it is nice when a big club is interested in you,” Camavinga told Canal, speculating about his future.
“[But] me, I keep a cool head. I’m at Stade Rennais. We’ll wait until the season comes to an end. I’m at Stade Rennais. We’re going to wait until the season’s end. We’re going to sit around the table and we’re going to weigh the pros and cons [then].”
In 2019, Camavinga made his boyhood club Rennes debut and he soon emerged as one of the most sought-after talents in football. This season, the Frenchman has one goal and an assist in 17 league appearances for fifth-placed Rennes, who are seven points adrift of Ligue 1 leaders Lyon after the 2-2 draw between the clubs on Saturday.
