Cristiano Ronaldo said he has fulfilled one of his ambitions since joining Juventus in 2018. He is grateful for what the club has accomplished this season, amid their nine-year Serie A championship streak coming to an end.
Ronaldo, 36, has a year left on his Juventus deal, but there has been a surge of media talk that the Portuguese striker will leave in the summer.
Inter Milan dethroned Juventus as champions, and Juventus only made it into the top four on the final day of the season, on Sunday (May 23), to ensure Champions League qualification.
Cristiano Ronaldo Achievements | His Words
“We were unable to win Serie A this season; however, congratulations to Inter on their well-deserved title. However, I must admire everything we accomplished at Juventus this season. Both collectively and individually.” Ronaldo updates his Instagram. Ronaldo won Serie A’s top scorer award with 29 goals in 33 appearances, said.
“The Italian Super Cup, Italian Cup, and Serie A top scorer trophy bring me joy, owing to the difficulties with which they are won in a country where nothing comes free.
“With these victories, I achieved a target I had set for myself since the day I arrived in Italy. To win the league, the Cup, and the Super Cup. To be the Best Player and Top Scorer in this fantastic football country packed with incredible stars. Also massive clubs, and a distinct football community.”
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star expressed his joy at winning big individual and squad awards for three different teams in three different countries.
“This is what I live for, this is what motivates me. This is what I’ll always keep chasing until the last day,” Ronaldo said. Ronaldo did not participate in the final day’s 4-1 victory over Bologna.
“Thank you to all who joined us on this adventure. We are all in this together.”
