Former France winger Franck Ribery believes he still has a lot to prove after he joined Serie A side Salernitana. The winger spent the last season in Serie A with Fiorentina and saw his two-year contract come to an end at the end of last season. He has signed a one-year contract with Salernitana. Before moving to Italy, Ribery spent 12 years in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich where he won nine Bundesliga titles as well as a Champions League.
“I still feel very good,” former France winger Franck Ribery said after joining Salernitana. “I still have a lot to prove. My passion moves me above all, but my family also played a fundamental role in my choice. I know that Serie A is a very difficult championship and I hope to reach a good physical condition as soon as possible.”
“We have an important goal which is salvation and I hope to be able to help the team to cross this finish line as soon as possible,” he added. Salernitana has lost their opening two games of the season to Bologna and Roma. They will travel to Torino this coming weekend.
