Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen has started working out at the training ground of his youth club in Denmark after completing his rehabilitation following his collapse at Euro 2020 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Eriksen has not played a professional game since the incident in the first match of Euro 2020 where he received life-saving treatment on the pitch.
“Eriksen reached out to us, and he is now training by himself,” Odense Boldklub (OB) said in a statement about Inter Milan defender Christian Eriksen. “It’s natural for him since he played here in his youth and lives around the corner. We are very happy to be able to provide training facilities for him,”
Eriksen played for the club before he became an international and joined Ajax. After a successful spell with the Dutch club, he joined Tottenham Hotspurs in 2013 where he played in the final of the Champions League. Eriksen then made the move to the Serie A giants last season. He was suspended from playing after his surgery due to a rule prohibiting the use of a cardioverter-defibrillator. The club announced that they are open to allowing the midfielder to leave the club if he wishes.
