Andrea Dossena has warned that if they do not qualify for the Champions League, Napoli could be forced to sell Kalidou Koulibaly. And he’s sure particularly Koulibaly will grow, with Liverpool and Manchester United being the defender’s reported target.
The top Italian flight is standing in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, leaving Napoli sixth and Atalanta fourth nine-point drift.
The defender has been linked with a Premier League switch and his current club may be forced to sell
Before the shutdown, coach Gennaro Gattuso had started making his influence felt in December having succeeded Carlo Ancelotti.

Dossena, who played for Napoli between 2010 and 2013, is afraid that the club might lose some of its key players if they are unable to join Europe’s next term elite again, having reached the 16th round before the season’s stoppage.
And he’s sure Koulibaly would flourish in particular, with Liverpool and Manchester United being a reported target for the defender.
Last week, Dossena commented on Koulibaly ‘s possibility to join Liverpool, saying the defender could be the final piece in a “stratospheric” squad.
Reflecting on Napoli ‘s campaign 2019-20 to date, Dossena conceded that the club had underperformed at the helm with Ancelotti but felt that Gattuso had a positive effect.
“For Napoli, it should have been a great season, the season with the biggest budget. The owner [Aurelio De Laurentiis] has invested a lot of money and this was meant to be the season of glory for Ancelotti, but this loss, some difficulties, has happened,” he said.
“To get nine points back from Atalanta is a huge challenge so Napoli shouldn’t be clinching a berth in the Champions League, they should be selling some stars,” Dossena told Stats Perform News.
