Celta Vigo was held to a 1-1 draw by Real Betis at the Balaidos Stadium in La Liga on Saturday after the visitors were denied a moment half punishment by the Video Assistant Referee.
Nolito gave Celta the lead in the first half with a clever free-kick from a narrow-angle, spinning his attempt around the wall before the goalkeeper Joel Robles hit the ball before slipping in at the near post.
Betis was awarded a penalty in the second half when Rafinha made contact with Andres Guardado ‘s foot when he fired his shot at the edge of the goal but, the referee reversed the decision after a three minute VAR review.
Nonetheless, the visitors were better teams in the second half, and their dominance paid off in the 79th minute when the Zouhair Feddal center back managed a deep pass from a set-piece play to send home the equalizer.
