Winning their 15th competitive match, the FC Bayern team went celebrated the win.
On Saturday afternoon FC Bayern beat SC Freiburg 3-1 winning their 15th competitive match on the bounce, a new record in Germany. Having sealed their eighth straight Bundesliga title on Tuesday, Munich refused to ease off, Joshua Kimmich and Robert Lewandowski handed them an early two-goal lead. Lucas Höler of Freiburg was quick to pull one back, but Lewandowski restored the two-goal advantage before half-time.
A deserved reward at the Bundesliga for that great season! The FC Bayern team met with the management and executive board of the Allianz Arena after the 3-1 home win against SC Freiburg to celebrate their eighth consecutive German league title at a shared dinner-all in line with the hygiene and distance rules in force due to the coronavirus pandemic of course.
Manuel Neuer & Co. now have the next two days off, starting on Tuesday with preparations for the last Bundesliga match of the season at VfL Wolfsburg which will see the Meisterschale lift out.
