After Javier Tebas said he’d like to see play resume in the middle of next month, the defender of the Barca said he’d like to see extra time granted to players.
Barcelona defender Gerard Pique said he would like to see the return of La Liga moved back further than June 12, the date proposed on Sunday by the president of the league, Javier Tebas.
After 27 matches, Barca was two points clear of the formidable rivals of Real Madrid, before the season was suspended due to the March coronavirus pandemic.
With players planning to adapt to the customized training this month, Tebas is hoping for a return to the field this month. “I would like the season to begin on June 12, but that will depend on the numbers.

Pique, however, said he’d rather finish the campaign later than Tebas suggested. Tebas understood La Liga ‘s significance in completing the season because there’s a lot of danger.
Winning the league this way, despite being champions, will be messy. “Pique told Movistar. “I heard Javier talk about playing again on the 12th. We have been out of action for a lot of time and we need to bear in mind that we need to be professionally qualified to mitigate the risk of injury.
