Real Madrid is set to offer a one-year extension deal to the defender that will see the captain staying in the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2022.
Sergio Ramos will remain with Real Madrid for at least two more years after a one-year extension deal has been agreed between the club and its agent.
Although the deal has not yet been signed, AS understands that both parties will be putting pen to paper with the club remaining true to their policy of renewing players over the age of 30 on one-year extension deals.
Now, until June 2022, Ramos will wear the famous white shirt with the natural heir to his position, Militao waiting in line for his turn to marshal the central defense of Real Madrid.
After moving from Seville FC in 2005 for a fee of 27 million euros, Ramos spent the last 15 years of his career with the Spanish capital ‘s side. The central defender has played 640 games in the process to bag 92 goals for Madrid.
Ramos has been capped for Spain on 170 occasions and has every hope of winning the national side of the European Championships moved to 2021 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and is scheduled to wear the red national team shirt for the last time at the 2022 World Cup to be played in Qatar in November of this year’s new extension contract.
