Sergio Ramos goes on making history in the Real Madrid shirt. The captain scored from the penalty spot to seal the victory over Getafe, marking the night’s 450th LaLiga start for the club. After the final whistle, Ramos was presented with a commemorative shirt by the president.
The captain is the fifth person in Madrid’s history to hit the number, after Raúl (550), Sanchís (523), Casillas (510) and Santillana (461).
From the beginning, Ramos completed 488 of his 450 games, earning 302 victories. He remains the top-scoring scorer in LaLiga history, with 70 goals (68 for Real Madrid and 2 for Sevilla).
The game with Getafe was the leader’s 646th fixture as a Madridista, and he still sits alone in fourth place on the team’s all-time appearance list.
Ramos eclipsed Santillana ‘s mark (645), and now stands just behind Raúl (741), Casillas (725) and Sanchís (710).
