According to Football Italia, River Plate is planning a potential transfer this summer for the Roma defender Federico Fazio.
Federico Julián Fazio the Argentine professional footballer who plays for Italian club A.S. as a central defender. Roma started his career at Ferro Carril Oeste, and in 2007 signed for Seville. In nine years, he made 201 competitive appearances for the latter club and scored 15 goals, joining Tottenham Hotspur in August 2014 and returning on loan to Seville; transferring to the Italian Series A with Roma in August 2016. In 2011, Fazio made his Argentina debut and represented the country at World Cup 2018.
Lucas Martinez Quarta, a possible goal for Italian clubs, is likely to be missed by River and AS writes Fazio is one of the candidates to replace him.
The Argentine turned 33 in March, appearing in Series A this season only 12 times, with Paulo Fonseca in the center-back preferring Gianluca Mancini and Chris Smalling.
While last summer he signed a renewal it only takes him to June 2021
