Angel Di Maria says he is happy that when they tried to buy him from Paris Saint-Germain three years ago they did not join Barcelona.

“I was very happy in Paris, but there were some things people at the club told me at the time that turned out to be lies at the end. Barca tried to get me to come. It’s been discussed by the two clubs, but PSG didn’t want to sell me and ended up there. This lies irritated me a lot but, in the end, it was a good thing not to leave because I am really happy today in Paris.,” he told L’Equipe.
The contract with the 32-year-old expires in 2021, but he suggested he would extend his deal as he would like to see the rest of his career with PSG.
