West Ham announced Pablo Zabaleta will leave the club the same as Carlos Sanchez at the end of the month.
Juvenile defender Jeremy Ngakia, 19, will also leave after rejecting what the club describes as a “massive” deal. Nakia’s departure would be a major disappointment for manager David Moyes, who included him in his starting line-up for the defeat of Wolves on 20 June. Despite near relations with Watford, Ngakia was not involved in Tottenham ‘s loss on Tuesday however.
West Ham said in a statement: Following our structure and strategy, Ngakia has been given dramatically improved terms to reward his emergence into this year’s first-team squad, along with further contractual enhancements related to his potential development and performance. Nevertheless, the player and his representatives declined to consider any of the offers, and even rejected a short-term contract until the end of the current season.”
While Sanchez, 34, started with just one Premier League game this season, Zabaleta, 35, injury prevented him from accepting an extension that was offered to him until the end of the season.
