According to his agent Dr. Erkut Sogut, the Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil will not leave the club until his contract runs out next year.
The Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is set to stay in the Emirates this summer according to the player’s agent. The future of the player has been a key topic of debate for the past couple of years. With the Turkish side Fenerbahce said to be the midfielder’s first-choice destination should he part with the Gunners’.
However, since Mikel Arteta took over, the Germans have enjoyed a longer time in the starting lineup and the agent Erkut Sogut has stated that next year the playmaker will decide on his future.
Speaking to IN Sport, Sogut said: “Mesut has a one-year contract. In this respect, there will be no improvement. So, what happens next, time will show.”

Ozil told reporters in Dubai earlier this month he was unsure of his future at the club.
Former international Germany struggled for minutes at the start of the season under Unai Emery but new boss Mikel Arteta has reintegrated him into the starting lineup.
Ozil only scored one goal this season but Sogut is sure his client can still play at the highest level.
Mesut is going to be 32 years old and has some more years of his career. Mesut will decide with his family. It’s going to be the best of all.”I can’t talk about Mesut and Fenerbahce because I don’t have the right to comment on this topic under the principle of confidentiality.”
Since arriving from Real Madrid in 2013, he scored 44 goals out of 254 appearances in all Gunners competitions
Ozil played the entire 120 minutes as Arsenal was dumped from the Europa League Thursday at the Emirates Stadium against Olympiakos.
