Neymar reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain he wasn’t going to sign a new deal at the club and wanted to join Barcelona instead. When he traded Camp Nou for Parc des Princes in a $198 m deal three years ago, the Brazilian winger became the most expensive player of all time.
The Brazilian superstar is currently the third highest-paid player in the world on £87million but would be willing to forego loads of cash to return to the Nou Camp.

Neymar has stepped up his attempts to leave Paris Saint-Germain by refusing French giants a new contract deal.
Throughout the summer transfer window the Brazilian was closely linked to a move back to Barcelona as he desperately attempted to escape the French capital.
An agreement could not be reached, however, amid interest from Real Madrid too, and Neymar, who left the Nou Camp in a £198 million move in 2017, remains unhappy in the French capital for now.
However, there has been intense speculation about his future since Barcelona remained interested in re-signing him to reunite the famous ‘MSN’ partnership with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez amid repeated links with his return to Spain.

Recent reports have indicated that Neymar is befitting more open to extending his stay in the French capital, but Spanish Outlet Sport argues that this summer he will demand a move and refuse any attempts to bind him to a new contract.
The 28-year-old’s current contract expires in 2022, but PSG is mindful that its market value decreases with each year that passes and could, therefore, consider cashing in on it. The report goes on to say that the present French champions will give priority to Kylian Mbappe’s future, whose contract will also expire in 2022.
Neymar faced numerous injury problems during his time at the PSG, but in only 80 club appearances he did make a respectable contribution to 108 goals.
