Martin Odegaard wishes to stay for another season claims Roberto Olabe
The sporting director of Real Sociedad Roberto Olabe claims that Martin Odegaard wishes to stay at the club for another season. This campaign has been incredibly successful for the Norwegian after joining Real Madrid on a two-year loan contract last summer.
The sporting director of the Real Sociedad, Roberto Olabe, wants Martin Odegaard to remain in the loan until 2021.
“Martin decided to come to us after a deal with [Bayer] Leverkusen,” Olabe said in a media video conference Marca says.
“We have had a special relationship with Real Madrid for some time,” said Olabe, quoted by Marca, in a press conference. There is an open conversation and they know what Martin is like and what he thinks about it. Martin’s troubling me more than Madrid.’
From what I see on Martin’s face, I am fairly confident. I have a lot of faith in him, not only as a player but as he is.
In July 2019, Odegaard joined Sociedad for a loan. His move was a one-season switch, with Real Madrid being able to recall him back to the club or extend his stay for another year at Real Sociedad.
He scored his first goal in La Liga and the only goal of the game against Mallorca only a month after he arrived at the new club. The player has made 28 appearances for la Real as of now, scored 7 goals and made 8 assists in all the contests.
