MANCHESTER UNITED are eager to go on and off the pitch for a busy summer as the Premier League prepares to kick Project Restart in. But there are worries that their pursuit of moving Jadon Sancho moves Angel Gomes closer to Chelsea, although a bid for Raul Jimenez is also being considered.
Manchester United ‘s hopes of signing Jadon Sancho this summer could be scuppered by Borussia Dortmund’s asking price for the winger.
The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the world’s most valuable football players after another successful campaign that has seen him directly contribute to 30 goals in just 23 appearances in the Bundesliga.
Dortmund hopes to sell Sancho over £100 m for a fee but agrees that the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic can cause them to fall below the nine-figure number.

However, the Evening Standard notes that United could also fail to collect £60 million -£70 million for England International, which would be slightly below the requested price of Dortmund.
In that situation, the German club can hold Sancho for an additional year in the expectation that he can get a bigger transfer fee next summer when the market is supposed to have recovered somewhat.
Sancho, who joined Dortmund for just £8 m three years ago, will be back in action this weekend, as the Bundesliga is the first major league to return after the lockout.
Sancho arrived from Manchester City in 2017 and this season, the 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with nine goals and 15 assists in all contests. He also won the month’s Bundesliga Goal for this exquisite volley in February:
Sancho ‘s efforts have already seen him break into the senior team in England, and it’s obvious that he has the talent and potential to enjoy a bright future.
