Bayern Munich has agreed to an agreement to sign Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, sources have told ESPN.
According to the sources, the agreement contains a sell-on clause of 10 percent for Settlement. Sane, who is scheduled to be in Germany on Wednesday for a medical, will not be able to play for Bayern until next season but will not play for City again.
Bayern swooped to take the 24-year-old back to the Bundesliga after City’s efforts to tie Stable down with a new deal were refused by the winger.
Sane had a year left on his deal at the Etihad Stadium, and in 12 months City chose to cash in instead of losing the German international for free.
Having suffered a knee ligament injury in the Community Shield against Liverpool in August, he’s been limited to just one Premier League appearance this season.
Sources have told ESPN that, with an extra €11 million in add-ons, Bayern will pay about €49 million upfront. It’s hoped Stable would sign a five-year contract.
Sane arrived from Schalke in 2016 in a £ 37 million deal at City and made 135 appearances in four seasons, scoring 39 goals.
He won five big Etihad trophies including the 2018 and 2019 Premier League crown. Also in 2018 Sane was named PFA Young Player of the Year.
