Karim Benzema continues to make history
Karim Benzema in Real Madrid jersey continues to make history. The Frenchman has scored 243 goals in his 503 matches as a Real Madrid player, with his brace against Valencia. That’s more than 242 goals for Puskas, making him the fifth-highest scorer in history at the club.

In reaching this figure, the striker expressed his satisfaction: “I did not imagine anything like this, I am very happy. I’ve been working for a long time now and I’ve always put it in to continue to improve. I hope I can carry on. I’m very pleased to play for this club. It wasn’t an easy game because of the competition that made it hard, but we won and didn’t concede. It’s very important because Valencia is a very strong team. Everything happened very quickly for the second goal. It was a Marco cross, I control it, I shot with the left foot and it went in. It looks easy but you have to do everything so quickly.”
The next challenge for Benzema is to pass another legend in Madrid: Santillana who scored 290 goals. Di Stefano, Raul, and Cristiano Ronaldo are in the top three, having scored 308, 323, and 451 goals respectively.
