Jurgen Klopp made a heartfelt appeal for fans from Liverpool to stay home watching matches and vowed the team would always feel their love as they close up on the title of the Premier League.
Liverpool is within touching distance of potentially ending their 30-year wait for a top-flight trophy and restarting on the first weekend back with a massive Merseyside derby, a clash that could seal the title if they were to win it and City to lose to Arsenal at home on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports.

In a message on the club’s website to Liverpool fans, Klopp said: “It will obviously be different, for certain reasons, but you can still make it very special.
“Once we all realized the dilemma we ‘re going to have, the whole world together, that’s the moment we realized football isn’t as important as the night before when Atletico Madrid was playing.
“I think it is a good lesson to learn. We had to demonstrate responsibility and, we showed it.
