Calciomercato sources say that Internazionale is planning a possible swap deal that would see Milan Skriniar moving to Manchester City in exchange for Sergio Aguero, City’s top goal scorer.
Inter Milan has reportedly named Sergio Aguero as a possible Manchester City transfer option. San Siro’s Milan Skriniar stock has plummeted after a string of under-performance games about a time when City is said to be on the lookout for a new center-back.
Slovakia’s Skriniar is no longer regarded by Antonio Conte’s side to be an invaluable commodity, and the 25-year-old ‘s red card in Inter’s last match against Sassuolo last Wednesday is thought to have incensed the Nerazzurri leadership, now rumored to seek out potential buyers for the highly desired center-half.
Although Argentina holds an iconic status at Etihad Stadium, its latest contract only has 12 months left.
While Aguero recently turned 32, his arrival will give Inter more leeway when it comes to cashing in on Lautaro Martinez. Much can be dependent on whether City can persuade Aguero to pen fresh terms, realizing he still has ambitions to return to his homeland in the future.
Pep Guardiola is credited with a long-term interest in Skriniar, and could be tempted to unload Aguero, now 32, and give the disappointed Gabriel Jesus more playing time.
Real Madrid is also in the hunt for Skriniar, who in a deal between the two clubs could look to offer highly-rated right-back, Achraf Hakimi, as a makeweight.
