Inter is reportedly ready to protect any future suitors by offering Marcelo Brozovic a new contract worth €4.5 million a year.
Tuttosport reports that Nerazzurri is seeking to negotiate a new deal with the Croatian midfielder to avoid losing the player in the current contract due to a €60 m release clause.
Since he arrived from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2015, the 27-year-old has been inspired by the Giuseppe Meazza and has attracted the attention of top clubs on the mainland.
The defensive player signed a contract worth €3.5 m a year until June 2022 in October 2018, but the agreement included a release clause that CEO Beppe Marotta plans to remove from the bumper offer.
The newspaper reports that Inter is willing to give Brozovic a new contract of €4.5 m, which will be binding on him until June 2023.
