On Sunday and Monday 19 of the 20 Premier League clubs were screened for Covid-19 with the pandemic disrupting football across the UK and Europe.
The players got their results on Tuesday at 2 pm and Chelsea opted to train from 4 pm after Frank Lampard had instructed his players to return immediately after being cleared.
The session marked Chelsea’s first day back in the group training ground for 72 days, having been allowed to do solo sessions with a doctor who has been present in recent weeks since lockdown in London was introduced.

The Blues players still have to follow the strict protocols of phase one of the Premier League that were agreed for their sessions in a video conference call on Monday.
In non-contact sessions, they should work in groups of five, while maintaining social distance.
All training equipment will be disinfected, the kit will be delivered to players’ homes so they don’t need to use the dressing rooms and allocated designated parking spaces.
