The defender is calling for better results when the Red Devils take over at Old Trafford from Chris Wilder ‘s team. Harry Maguire warned his Manchester United team-mates that if they want to beat Sheffield United at Old Trafford, they need to increase their success on the Bramall Lane.
On Wednesday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is hosting the Blades in what is expected to be a vital fixture in the race to win qualifying for the Champions League. Chris Wilder ‘s side is currently sitting two points behind fifth-placed United, but victory over Newcastle on Sunday will see them go well above the Red Devils in the table to Old Trafford.
The last time the two sides met it was a dramatic 3-3 match as United came back from two goals down just for Oli McBurnie to score a 90th-minute equalizer.
“That was a crazy game. We were really bad in the first half. It was one of the worst of our first half of the season, no doubt about it,” Maguire told The Review.
The match at Old Trafford will be the first behind closed doors and while the club has done its best to make sure it looks as good as possible and fans are represented on the field, it will be a fascinating experience for the players.

Maguire is not worried that United will lose their home advantage despite the lack of support and is optimistic that the team will be able to deliver good results.
He continued, “Maybe it takes away the home fans that make the team’s environment unpleasant, but it’s all about the 11 players that come up on the day. There’s enough talent in our, squad to go and beat anyone. We ‘re focused on ourselves and don’t look at it as home or away. We see only each game as an opportunity to try and obtain the three points and perform at our best.”
