Renne’s sporting director Florian Maurice said the Ligue 1 side had no intention of selling teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga via ties with Real Madrid, except for € 80 million (£72 million/$89 million).
Maurice told RMC Sport: There has been no recognition of Camavinga ‘s departure. There was never any real interest at all. From my arrival, it was obvious that Camavinga was going to be interested in the initiative. If Real Madrid offers him as discussed € 80 million then the answer is no. We want him to live in Rennes and he’s going to change.
Maurice added: “It’s obvious to me that this player has to be part of the team coming into the season. We want to see the player continue. There are conversations we should have together, and we are not planning to let him go on our side. The athlete has the drive, and also the desire to go elsewhere, it’s worth remembering. I will listen to him but at the moment he has a Rennes deal, and then we’ll see how the transfer window works.”
