On Sunday, Barcelona hit 9,000 goals in all official competitions after their 4-1 win over Villarreal in La Liga.
Barca reached the landmark thanks to the young star Ansu Fati, who came off the bench to net the fourth goal of the season to Villarreal.
Barca recorded their 9,000th goal just over 111 years later – star captain and six-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi scored 630. For the actual number for Barca, 6,165 goals were scored in La Liga, accompanied by the Copa del Rey (1,474) and the Champions League (543).
The Blaugrana added four goals against Villarreal to their league record with the first goal scored at the third minute.
