According to the Premier League club on Thursday, Manchester City defender Eric Garcia was released from hospital after being involved in a collision with goalkeeper Ederson in their 3-0 victory over Arsenal.
Garcia, 19, collided late in Wednesday’s game with the Brazilian goalkeeper and received treatment several minutes before being carried off on a stretcher and taken to the Royal Infirmary Hospital in Manchester for further tests.
“Garcia was released from the hospital. He ‘s going to be monitored in the days ahead of a return to training and competitive action. Everybody at the club wishes him a speedy recovery,” City said in a statement.
Ederson, 26, posted a picture of himself and Spain’s Garcia on Twitter on Thursday with the caption “well and back.”
Raheem Sterling ‘s goals, Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden sliced the gap to Liverpool’s league leaders to 22 points and led City to a comfortable win on their league return.
