Juventus has reportedly made Roma striker Edin Dzeko their top priority for the transfer window this summer. Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri needs Dzeko in the No 9 jersey to replace Gonzalo Higuain, should he leave at the end of the season.
Tuttosport says that the possibility of getting in Dzeko, a player whom the coach has long respected, excites Sarri.
Roma is reportedly trying this summer to offload Edin Dzeko to deal with the financial implications of the coronavirus crisis.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, the 34-year-old, who is on a £6.6million annual contract until the summer of 2022, is likely to be a victim of cost-cutting measures taken by Roma.
Roma and Juve are thought to be negotiating terms while the Turin club is also said to be seeking Riccardo Calafiori in a full-back.
Dzeko has shone in the Italian capital during his tenure scoring an impressive 102 goals from 211 appearances since joining Manchester City ‘s club on loan in 2015 before the transfer became permanent a year later.
He has held an excellent record this season despite his advancing years, scoring 17 and adding nine assists in 35 games at all competitions.
