Early in the second half, Joao Felix was replaced at the Wanda Metropolitano where Alvaro Morata scored a brace against sealer Koke.
A record of €126million was signed by Benfica last year. Portugal International has been replaced in 17 of its 21 LaLiga games. Yet Simeone, the Atletico boss, backed the 20-year-old and told the attacker he had full confidence.

Joao Felix has scored eight goals in all competitions this season and provided three assists in 34 appearances.
Simeone, whose side secured third place in the table, said his message was clear to the younger players.
Atletico is back in action as they host Celta Vigo on Tuesday.
