After his loan spell at Arsenal, Dani Ceballos has reiterated his desire for success at Real Madrid.
Ceballos is at the Premier League club on a season-long loan but is contracted with Madrid until 2023.
The midfielder has turned up this season in 24 games for the Gunners, scoring one goal and adding two assists.
The nine-time Spain international, however, is still willing to succeed with the La Liga giants, who arrived three years ago from Real Betis.
“I’m a player from Real Madrid … and any player in the world would like to play for Real Madrid,” Ceballos said to TVE on Wednesday.
Ceballos says that he has a three-year contract with Real Madrid and it is the perfect team to succeed.
As rumors swirled that Madrid was willing to give him and Sergio Reguilon a swap deal for Seville star Lucas Ocampos, Ceballos saw his future called into question earlier this month.
But Ceballos was swift to dismiss the rumor, tweeting an image of the United States. President Donald Trump shaking his head and wagging his finger.
Nonetheless, the future of Ceballos in Madrid is in the air, as the midfielder announced last month that he had not spoken to manager Zinedine Zidane since joining Arsenal.
Ceballos also informed Moviestar that he has not spoken to Zidane since he left. He also mentioned that it is going to be hard having a dressing room with so many players. Zidane talks to the loan players, he added.
Ceballos is preparing for a return to Premier League action, with England’s top-flight clubs returning to training this week.
Arsenal players the 23-year-old confirmed had not returned any positive coronavirus samples.
Ceballos claimed that the whole team had been tested negative as they have passed the test.
