With a convincing 4-2 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern continued her march towards a new Bundesliga title, setting a new league record.
The Bavarians are now in the season on 90 goals scored, which no club achieved after 30 rounds. Still, from the 1971/72 season, they ‘re far from their record of 101 goals, but they have four more games to catch up.

Today in Leverkusen the home Bayer took the lead with a goal by Alari in the ninth minute, but the guests turned it around half-time with goals from Coman on the 27th, Goretzke in the 32nd and Gnabry in the 45th minute. The lead was further increased by Robert Lewandowski in the 66th minute and Wirtz set the final 2:4 in the 89th.
This is the jubilee 30th goal of the season for the Polish master, which means he scored a third of all Bayern’s league goals this season. This is his third season, after 2015/16, in which he reached the jubilee. And 16/17, and the legendary Gerd Müller is the only player to succeed multiple times-as many as five.
Bayern escaped Borussia by ten points at the top with these three points, although Dortmund ‘s club has yet to play its 30th-round game. He plays against Hertha at home starting at 18:30.
