Barcelona has signed a five-year deal with Argentine striker Inter Milan, Lautaro Martinez, worth more than € 12 million per year, Italian sources say, according to Sport.
Despite their lack of financial means to secure the agreement, the Catalan giants have been strongly linked with the Argentine international. They have been trying to reach a mutually beneficial deal with Inter Milan for many months now, after offering the Italian side a constant range of available players.
Inter Milan, though interested in some players like Arturo Vidal and Nelson Semedo, has rejected the player exchange option as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, despite the current market financial situations. Inter’s Sporting Director has insisted that the only choice this summer to sing Lautaro would be to pay the transfer fee of EUR 111 million.

Lautaro made it clear this summer that he wants to move to the Nou Camp and reports in Italy claim that the striker has already agreed on a five-season long contract worth more than EUR 12 million per season. Like the millions of Barca and Inter supporters, He now is awaiting the results of the ongoing talks between the two clubs.
These reports are yet to be confirmed or refuted by Barca, but it is clear that they negotiated with the Italian side, offering several players in exchange. The Spanish side is hoping they will accept their latest offer of two (unnamed) players and a further 60 million. But then the Nerazzurri have requested 80 million.
The two sides are reaching an agreement, and the vision of Lautaro Martinez is gradually becoming a reality in Blaugrana colors.
