After Tuesday night ‘s victory at Levante, Atletico Madrid jumped up above Seville and in La Liga to the third position.

Jaime Mata opened the scoring for Jose Bordalas’ side four minutes before the break but, thanks to a penalty from Enes Unal, Valladolid won one point on the half-time line.
The result expands Getafe’s winless streak in La Liga to five matches – with four of those matches coming against sides in the bottom half of the table as their pursuit of a first-ever top-four finish was defeated as well. Despite their victory at Leganes in their first game back in La Liga since the extended pause after the coronavirus pandemic brought the competition to a halt, in three games Valladolid is still without a win.
