The 32-year-old, joining the club in 2014, has been a key figure in Atalanta ‘s rise from relegation candidates to quarter-finalists in the Champions League.
He spent most of his career in Italy, as was the case for Metalist Kharkiv at Catania from 2010-13, with a short spell in Ukraine.
Papu has made Atalanta 223 competitive appearances, scoring 53 goals and providing 61 assists.
In 2014 Gomez performs in “Atalanta.” The midfielder took part in 223 Bergamo club appearances, scoring 53 goals and assisting 61.
