Arsenal reportedly made progress in talks on a Red Bull Salzburg contract for midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai. The financial consequences of the coronavirus pandemic are likely to result in Arsenal having a more leisurely transfer window than initially intended.
However, according to French journalist Manu Lonjon, the Gunners kept talks about Szoboszlai, who might later step on to a high-profile European side by 2020.
Lonjon stated that Arsenal and AC Milan are in advanced talks when asked who can fight with Paris Saint-Germain for the Hungarian international signing. With the 19-year-old having just two years left on his contract, Salzburg will accept bids for one of their key men this summer.
Szoboszlai, who could cost £ 25 m, contributed 15 goals from his 58 outings and 22 assists for the Austrian side.
