Lionel Scaloni, an Argentine coach, would like to see Lautaro Martinez playing next season alongside Lionel Messi in Barcelona but claims that Inter Milan would find it impossible for their star to leave.
The mooted transfer by Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona looks likely to be – if it happens – the biggest summer contract, and it draws interest from all around.
Coach Quique Setien in Barcelona has said his club is still interested in great players and Martinez is one of them.
Lionel Messi ‘s quest for a new foil has been a long and costly one, but it seems like they’ve found their guy in the explosive Inter striker.

One person who knows both players well is Argentine coach Lionel Scaloni and he addressed the possibility of the relationship in quotes picked up by ESPN:
“It is normal they want to play together, they get along well, they understand each other well,” said the former player at West Ham.
“The [Argentina team] needs. They’ve always played in the national team together. The more games they play, the better for me as a coach, and the national team.”
He doesn’t hold back though, not in saying how good he feels he might be in partnership, nor essentially in verifying the interest Barcelona has in the striker. It also goes on to favorably equate him with the new foil of Messi, Luis Suarez.
Getting the Serie A star to the Nou Camp will be a serious activity, particularly in a summer like this. But from both camps, there are so many positive noises coming out that we are starting to think it can be done.
Inter still insists that their young star will stay-but each player has its price.
