After recovering from coronavirus, Alex Remiro has returned to training with his Real Sociedad teammates. The Spanish shot-stopper was found positive when La Real checked their players so on Friday he was expected to stay isolated at home.
The test’s specifics indicated that Remiro did not have the virus but that he was still recovering from it and removing it from its system.
With little chance of transmission to other players, he was allowed back into the facility to continue his training after a few days. Thus, everything suggests that Remiro was subjected to a second test on Tuesday and it brought back a completely negative result.

Marca Report
According to Marca, the club revealed the news late on Friday, May 8, the same day the squad returned to training. It was about 23:00 CEST that it was revealed that Remiro was not among his teammates. The PCR test was negative but the serology test proved positive for IgM.

According to this same information, the player has a “low likelihood of transmitting the disease,” since he has tested negative for IgG, which means that his immune system is already in the process of successfully fighting off the virus. Therefore, Remiro must remain in solitary confinement at home for a few days and, if all goes well, he could be released soon.
Remiro is the second player in LaLiga Santander to test positively since the return to training was announced, with the first being Renan Lodi from Atletico Madrid, who was also placed in solitary confinement.
