Ajax boss Erik ten Hag has indicated that within the next transfer window he will sell three of his main players. With a view of the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all been linked to Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico.
Although Ten Hag has indicated that none of the trios will be able to leave on the cheap, he has acknowledged offers were made elsewhere to take on new positions.
Speaking to Het Parool, Ten Hag said: “The transfer market will begin in August. The top leagues are now being played out, thus holding the money flows. Players’ market value will be slightly reduced, but not much. A lot of our players still want to travel abroad based on their success and motivation. Agreements have been reached with Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico but it must be clear if the market is breaking loose. Surely another year of Ajax will be a choice for Onana and Van de Beek, for Tagliafico because of his age it’s slightly different.”
Ajax has already agreed to move to Stamford Bridge next week in a deal with Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech.
